Glozell

okay I don't know if you all have heard of this but you really should check it out!!!! To see it, go to www.youtube.com and then type in "glozell- can't be tamed" But before you watch it if you haven't seen the music video for Miley Cyrus's(grammer?) new song Can't Be Tamed then you need to watch it first. You don't need to watch the whole thing just the first about 55 seconds. That isn't even part of the song but it is the backround. You don't need to hear the song at all for watching glozell. Just the first 55 seconds is really weird. If you want to see anymore glozell videos just tell me... comment or whatever...and I can DEFIANTLY recommend some for you! They are hilarious! I really really, REALLY think that there will be absolutely no regret in watching them. They will ALWAYS give you a smile! Even during your worst days! ENJOY!!!

Awesome Facebook Status List

So the title of this post sounds really weird but I really do have a list of things that I want to put as my Facebook status sooner or later. I write them down so that I don't forget and so that I can space them out. So I thought that I would give you that list because they are pretty awesome! Okay here it goes: 1."Harry Potter is my soul mate. Ron is my eating buddy. Hermionie is my snuggle buddy. Voldemort is my mentor/councilor. Wormtail shows me how to be a worm. Sirius id my hubba bubba. The Fat Lady is my ugly older lady friend. Dumbledore is my grandpa. Snape is my dad. Draco Malfoy is my little fat brother that I kick. That's my family tree. The end. " ----Now I have to explain this one a bit. Two of my friends were making this up just to see how weird they could make it. I thought that it was pretty funny! 2."This Voldything's back you say." "Yes." "The one who murdered your parents." "Yes." "And now he is sending dismembers after you?" "Looks like it." "I see." 3."But what are dementoids doing in Little Whinging?" 4.These demembers guard some weirdos' prison" 5."...I've left a letter telling your aunt and uncle not to worry-" "They won't." "That you're safe-" "That'll just depress them." "-And that you'll see them next summer." "Do I have to?" 6."One person couldn't feel all that! They'd explode!" "Just because you've got the emotional range of a teaspoon!" 7."You may not like him minister but you can't deny:Dumbledore's got style!" 8."I'm sorry professor but I must not tell lies." That is is so far. Just in case you wondered or couldn't tell... I LOVE HARRY POTTER!!!

....

So... i really am not so hot at this whole "keeping up with my blog" thing. But I really try. I think that today I want to talk about some of the things that I really liked in General Conference. Since it is this weekend. On Saturday my favorite talk was the talk from Elder Holland. He was the one that talked about parents and how his payed for his mission without him knowing and didn't touch his bank account at all. One part that I really liked was when he said: "And we all sustain you." We all meaning general authorities. "And return to you heart felt prayers and love." I love that part because I never really think that general authorities think about and love us as individuals. But they do. And then I liked it when he said "I love and am grateful for young women leaders who go to girls camp and without shampoo, showers or mascara take those smelly campfire testimony meetings and make them one of the greatest times of those girls lives." Because it is true. I am very grateful for them too! Even though at our camp we do have showers!! And people take shampoo! But still, the fact still remains. And I thought that it was hilarious when he said "I am grateful for all the people who are forever setting up tables and chairs and taking them down again." Haha!!! hehe!!! lol (for those on fb, you know that that is kind of my thing right now!!!).Because that is true!! There is almost always something going on where you need chairs, tables or both.!!! Then I LOVED it when he said "Moms and Dads all around the world thank you for sacrificing so that your children can have what you never had." And I am indeed really grateful for that also. Then when Rosemary M. Wixom said "To children all over the world we say take my hand, hold on tight and we will stay on the path together and return back to our Heavenly Father." I just love that. I don't know why. It just really touched my heart. I thought it was cool (and never would have thought of this) when David M. McConkie said "A teachers attitude is not taught. It is caught." I thought that that was cool. I also thought that it was hilarious when Elder Uchtdorf talked about the trees and how when they are in good conditions they grow faster that when the conditions are not ideal. And then he talked about how you can look at the tree rings to see how they old they are and the conditions that they were in at certain periods of time and then he said "you are probably thinking. yes this is all good and fine but what in the world does it have to do with airplanes???" HAHA!! HEHE!! LOL!!(again just a phase! i guess!) Mom and Dad and I laughed pretty hard!! Anyway, that is what I got out of conference.

Sorry

Okay so I am apologizing AGAIN!!! But I am sorry that I haven't written in a while. Today I thought that I would tell you about that waltz that I was so worried about. Well, we performed it this past Thursday and I actually think that I did pretty well! It was so pretty and REALLY fun! And it really helped that I had a good partner. Um, all the girls wore all black and a red flower in their hair and then the guys wore a black suit with no jacket and a red bow tie. It was so pretty. I will figure out if I can post a pic of me in my outfit. I didn't get any pics of the group or me and my partner but I will try. Well, we performed it at a youth conference and one good think that came out of the conference was that I learned to have a good attitude because if I hadn't had a good attitude about the waltz then I would not have just said that I think that it was fun. Another thing. I got to grow closer to and bond with 2 young men in my ward. Their names are Ben Summers and Major May. Like I used to be really uncomfortable around Ben and this past Sacrement Meeting it was fast sunday and we at YC we had to have testimony meeting with these groups that we were in and so Bishop was disappointed that he didn't get to hear all of our testimonies and so he gave the ENTIRE testimony meeting to the youth to bear their testimonies and we even went over and not everyone bore their testimony. 4 or 5 didn't but anyway afterwards I was crying so hard and Ben came up to me and gave me a hug. I thought that that was so nice of him. And I really grew closer to Major at the dances. Well, really both guys at the dances but their was no really obvious thing that showed me that I was closer to Major besides the fact that I felt less uncomfortable around him and asked him to dance(in a REALLY un"will you dance with me" way. More like a "this is a slow song and you are just standing here in a group of girls. lets dance." way) once and another time I taught him how to swing dance (for those of you that know what I am referring to when I say the :ladybug. I taught him that)And I think that he really appreciated it because after that dance, we were having a talk with our bishop as a ward and bishop said "did we learn anything?" and Major said "I learned how to swing dance... Rachel taught me." and then after that, we were walking back to our dorms(YC was at the University of Arkansas) and he yelled "thanks for teaching me Rachel!" So I think that he liked it. So sum all this up... Youth Conference was GREAT!!!!!

Mad Gab and lately

Okay sorry but this is another post complaining about how people cheat! So yesterday Kelli and my Mom and my Dad and I were playing Mad Gab. Mom and Dad were a team and Kelli and I were a team and Mom was giving the clues to Dad and the word that Dad had to guess was "Jim Carry" and the clue was "Gym Carry" !!!! What is up with this? And Mom and Dad were already winning! Oh well. Hey sorry I haven't been writing lately! This past Wednesday at like 8:00 we got back from Utah! We drove there. It was awesome partly because every summer we drive far away and we love it but also because normally there is 5 kids in the car with 2 parents but this time there was 2 parents and only 2 kids! Kelli and I. And so Kelli and I both got our own bench! That was fun! We went to Utah for a family reunion. It was really fun! We did a lot of things! Maybe I will write about them later. Well, gotta go! Mo Tab Music and the Spoken Word is on!!!!

Neighbors- mine are awesome!

Okay so behind my house and my neighbors house and their neighbors house runs a creek. And in that creek lived a dog-stray mind you and this dogs name is Knight. And one day he just showed up in my neighbors backyard and started wandering around and so they decided "he doesn't look to good. Why don't we feed him?" And so they have been feeding him ever since. SO he is always roaming around my house and my neighbors house (outside. don't worry! He is NOT getting in our house.) Well, i would just like to state to the people of this blog that my neighbors are AWESOME! Hence the title. :) I was sitting on my front porch with my Mom and we were talking and i said "You know Mom, I am happy that if Knight had to come into our lives, and he had to find a home around us, i am glad he found the Hodges(my wonderful neighbors)." And she was like, "Why?" And i replied, because if he had come to us, then we would not have fed him our anything." And she agreed.

Church Youth Conference

Well, yesterday, I went to church with my sister and we practiced a dance that my ward has to perform at a church Youth Conference. They gave out different dances to different wards and guess what my ward got? A WALTZ!!!! I will admit that it is very pretty, and fun to do, but with a guy? It is 3 minuets long! And at one part, the girls have to twirl into the guys arms and then have our right hand hold his left hand and then twirl back out. If that makes sense. But like my Mom says, it's all in the attitude. But we are practicing every Wednesday until YC. YC is on July 29-31. A girl in our youth group made up the choreography. Well, I guess it will not be that bad. Hopefully.

Lately

Well, Sorry that I haven't written in the past couple days but as some of my family knows, I have been sick. I threw up 3 times on Friday the 25. All within the time of 1 movie. So not very much time. After the first one, Kelli gave me the pleasure of knowing, that"It was the grossest throw up I have ever heard." I thanked her for saying that. But I am not completely sure what caused it but, I know that this past wednesday, the 23, Kelli and I went to a pool party for church and it was at a families house and the families little boy was sick and his sister got sick after that so it is possible that she was not feeling very good during that and this other girl that was at that party got sick and I got sick. So it could be that but also on Friday, My Mom and Kelli and I went to Sams and we got some samples, and one of them was this salad stuff that wasn't very good with chicken (it is possible that that wasn't cooked all the way) and it had blue cheese(and that was really gross, so that could have contributed) and so I wouldn't be surprised if it was parts of all of that. Well, I skipped church today because I was feeling fine and then I ate breakfast and I felt a lot worse, and so I was still working up to eating real food because for dinner Friday night we had pancakes and I couldn't eat that and so I didn't have dinner that night and then I couldn't eat any food really until this morning besides crackers and sprite, and popsicles (which I had to be careful about because I ate one one time and then threw it up. So it has been an eventful couple of days for me. So that was pretty much all I did. I was starving today because while I was sick I couldn't eat anything real. Well, one thing to say. I hate being sick. But I think that everybody does. I hope. I have an organ lesson tuesday.

Great Value

Okay, have you ever noticed that on the back of the Great Value items it has a little blue box and it always has 2 adjectives describing the item? Like it will say "Adjective, adjective, garenteed!" And they always cheat! Like on crunchy peanut butter (if there is great value peanut butter!?) it might say "flavorful, crunchy, garenteed!" Is it just me or is that cheating? Anyone could have guessed that that was crunchy. IT'S CRUNCHY PEANUT BUTTER for crying out loud! Ever since my brother Mike showed me that, every time I am in Wal Mart or somewhere if I see Great Value things then I stop to look at the adjectives! It is quite amusing and it makes shopping more fun! So next time you're mom says "Does anyone want to come shopping with me?" Like my mom does then say yes and take my advise and my moms. Mine: Look at the adjectives on the Great Value items. My Moms: it's all in your attitude. If you say that you will have fun then you are going to have fun. If you say that it is going to be so boring and not fun at all, then it will be boring and not fun at all. Trust me. I have experience! Anyway, just thought that I would give you that peace of information! Now one final thing. I LOVE READING GREAT VALUE PACKAGES!!!! sorry!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Hey! I just wanted to say that my presents to my Dad for fathers day were pretty awesome!!! I bought him a king size HEATH bar and made him a very cool looking coupon. It says: "2 FREE... Half Hours of me... Mowing! Because, we have all started taking turns mowing for a half an hour every Saturday and I know that it is REALLY weird but I like mowing and so I thought that I would give that to him. He appreciated it I think. Well, we just got home from dinner at Wanda Morgan's house. She is a widow in our church. She also lives in our neighborhood. She is a WONDERFUL cook! We had, potatoes, gravy, beans, bread, water and lightly breaded chicken tenders with salad. it was AMAZING and after that we had apple cobbler and ice cream and cool whip. That was really good too. Mom and to give a talk in church today. She was told to talk about Fathers since it was Father's Day, but she said that she has heard many ladies say that they hate the talks on Mother's Day because the speakers always talk about the things that a good mother does and so they leave the meeting leaving like they aren't good enough or they aren't a good mother or something and she didn't want to make anyone feel like that and so instead of talking about the things that a good father would do, she talked about Heavenly Father and how much he loves us and stuff and how we are of SO much worth to him. It was a WONDERFUL talk. She did a good job. Yesterday, we went to a church activity and Kelli and I were in a skit. But we only had one wednesday activity to practice and so we just did a skit that a group had done at a camp that I went to for church and it was a song from mulan. "I'll make a man out of you." But the words were changed. Here was our words:(verse 1)Let's get down to business, to defeat all sin, Did they send us sidkicks, when we asked for heros? You're the saddest bunch I've ever met but youcan bet before we're through, sisters we'll make heros, out of you!(verse 2) Tranqual as a forest, but a fire with in, once you do some service, you are sure to win! You're a daughter of God, a child of worth, but you haven't got a clue, sisters we'll make heros out of you! (individual parts) I'm never going to be good enough.Sy goodbye to those who knew me(-that was mine!). Boy was I a fool for skipping mutual! These girls got me scared to death! Hope he sees whats truly in me! Now I really wish that I had said my prayers!(chorus) BE A HERO! you must be swift as a coursing river.BE A HERO!With all the force of great typhoon. BE A HERO! with all the strength of a raging fire, mysterious as the dark side of the moon! (verse 3)Trials racing towards us, but with prayers, we'll strive, keep all Gods commandments and we will survive. You're a daughter of God, a child of worth, so get up(high school musicalish jump!), strive to be true, sisters we'll make heros out of you! Chorus, Chorus." I will try and see if i can get a copy of the video that my friend took and I will try and figure out how to post it. It is better if you can see it. It is easier to understand! Well, I gotta go! We are going over to my neighbor's house for some cake!:) People love our family!!! I'll write again later!

April 25,2010- Try #2

Okay, so I am trying to update this and keep it updated so excuse me while I make it awesome!!!
