....

So... i really am not so hot at this whole "keeping up with my blog" thing. But I really try. I think that today I want to talk about some of the things that I really liked in General Conference. Since it is this weekend. On Saturday my favorite talk was the talk from Elder Holland. He was the one that talked about parents and how his payed for his mission without him knowing and didn't touch his bank account at all. One part that I really liked was when he said: "And we all sustain you." We all meaning general authorities. "And return to you heart felt prayers and love." I love that part because I never really think that general authorities think about and love us as individuals. But they do. And then I liked it when he said "I love and am grateful for young women leaders who go to girls camp and without shampoo, showers or mascara take those smelly campfire testimony meetings and make them one of the greatest times of those girls lives." Because it is true. I am very grateful for them too! Even though at our camp we do have showers!! And people take shampoo! But still, the fact still remains. And I thought that it was hilarious when he said "I am grateful for all the people who are forever setting up tables and chairs and taking them down again." Haha!!! hehe!!! lol (for those on fb, you know that that is kind of my thing right now!!!).Because that is true!! There is almost always something going on where you need chairs, tables or both.!!! Then I LOVED it when he said "Moms and Dads all around the world thank you for sacrificing so that your children can have what you never had." And I am indeed really grateful for that also. Then when Rosemary M. Wixom said "To children all over the world we say take my hand, hold on tight and we will stay on the path together and return back to our Heavenly Father." I just love that. I don't know why. It just really touched my heart. I thought it was cool (and never would have thought of this) when David M. McConkie said "A teachers attitude is not taught. It is caught." I thought that that was cool. I also thought that it was hilarious when Elder Uchtdorf talked about the trees and how when they are in good conditions they grow faster that when the conditions are not ideal. And then he talked about how you can look at the tree rings to see how they old they are and the conditions that they were in at certain periods of time and then he said "you are probably thinking. yes this is all good and fine but what in the world does it have to do with airplanes???" HAHA!! HEHE!! LOL!!(again just a phase! i guess!) Mom and Dad and I laughed pretty hard!! Anyway, that is what I got out of conference.
