Officially an Adult??

Yesterday, during the course of my birthday I just kept saying to myself "I'm 18? I'm 18? I'm 18?" It's so weird!! There are so many things that I'm legal to do now!
But the other thing that I kept saying to myself was that if my family could finally get out of Vegas and come home, that would be such an AMAZING birthday present. Throughout the whole day I was constantly praying that things would work out and that they would be able to come home. Then Mom and I were sitting in next to each other in Young Women's when she got the text that they were sitting at the gate. I couldn't stop smiling! Each time that they texted us with more updates I got more and more excited! Finally at the end of the day, when we got home from the airport and we all sat around talking, I WAS SOO HAPPY! I know that members of our family were missing, and I soo wanted them with us. But I was so happy that Brooke, Jon, and Kelli were finally home and that the stress was over! It was an awesome birthday!
Also, today, I got a whisper in the ear by Santa... pretty creeped out and pretty excited at the same time. On one hand, SANTA TALKED TO ME! And on the other hand, a stranger just whispered in my ear in the middle of Wal-Mart. Mixed emotions right about now...
Any who.. "I'm 18? I'm 18? I'm 18?" Yup. Still weird.

Is that a thing?

Have you ever heard the phrase "is that a thing?" it's everywhere... You know what is a thing? College. College is a thing. Just FYI.

All throughout this first semester of senior year, I have known that college is coming, but it never really sunk in. Then I had to fill out college applications and at that point college was just this thing that was like 5 years away and just plain annoying.
But then....
...this happened. I got an acceptance letter from Rogers State University. I couldn't stop repeating to myself "As of right now.. I'm moving to Claremore..." It finally started to become real!
But then...
.. it happened again! I got another letter in a big envelope! This time from Northeastern State University.

The more I think about it, the more real it is becoming! So yes. College is a thing and it's coming... fast.
